My six word memoir sums up how I feel about our process so far. There has been a lot of change throughout this process, a shift from what I want to what we want and that message has been echoed by all of the teachers involved. I was proud to tell parents at conferences that our redesign plans came from their children and were very different than what I assumed they would be like. It is like a legacy project for my students. They understand that their plans and input will make this the, "Cool" classroom for years to come and future students will thank them for their efforts.
Here is a sample of some of the student designs and the kids who made them.
After some final tweaks and switching up of the seating elements we came up with this final plan that we agreed on and took to the finishing stage. Very exciting.
